If people of our generation have been able to get a decent hold on technology and we didn’t receive it until we were adults, I don’t see why making children wait is to their detriment.

I agree completely about the generational shift. I didn't have a computer until college, and even then, it didn't do much. And we paid by the minute for cell phones that only made phone calls! Amazingly, we were educated, we survived, and we became technologically competent. It's not like today's tech giants are all 16-year-olds born with iPads in their cribs!
